The Divine Mercy image portrays Jesus Christ in a powerful symbol of divine love and forgiveness. In this vision, our Lord appeared to St. Faustina Kowalska in 1931. Jesus is depicted in a white garment, His right hand raised in blessing, while His left hand touches His garment near the Heart. From His Heart, two large rays emanate: one red and the other pale. These rays hold deep spiritual significance:
1. Red Ray: Symbolizes the Blood of Jesus, representing the life of souls.
2. Pale Ray: Represents the Water, which makes souls righteous.
Faustina Kowalska wrote these words of Jesus in her diary: "The souls who spread My Mercy I will protect them throughout their lives, how tender it is to have their infant, and in the hour of death I will not be Judge for them, but a merciful Savior"
"I demand from you the deeds of mercy that are to flow out of love for me. You are to show mercy to your fellow man, always and everywhere, you can not get rid of it or pronounce or acquit it "(Diary 742).
“As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love. If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love. These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full. This is my commandment, That ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends. Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you. Henceforth I call you not servants; for the servant knoweth not what his lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.” (John 15:9-15) 🎨🙏✨
